The Calhoun County Children's Policy Council is the outgrowth of the Council's efforts to collaborate and strengthen nonprofit and public systems benefiting children and families. The mission of CCCPC is to improve outcomes for Calhoun County's low-income and vulnerable children by helping their families and guardians to utilize support systems and services.

CCCPC works to:

* develop and sustain community resources
* integrate services, improve outcomes
* and utilize best practices to help strengthen families

The Council is associated with the Alabama Department of Children's Affairs and is organized under the leadership of Circuit Judge Brenda S. Stedham and District Judge Laura Phillips. Annually, the CCCPC updates a community needs assessment targeting children's needs and directing state and federal funding to address those needs.
